WalkNorfolk25 – Hidden World of the upper Little Ouse valley (Thelnetham)
Host – Ellie, Little Ouse Headwaters Project
Join Little Ouse Headwaters Project (LOHP) and explore the hidden world of the upper Little Ouse Valley, its wetlands, woodlands, meadows and heaths, all juxtaposed in a quiet area of the borderlands between Norfolk and Suffolk. Learn all about the restored landscape and natural history which makes it such a special place. Take in the views of the restored Thelnetham Windmill and find out about some of the land-use history of the area.
Hear about the dedicated volunteers who have worked tirelessly over the years, to restore and manage the fens. Look out for a variety of species and their signs in autumn. Most of the mammals are shy and retiring, but we might find signs of recent Otter activity.
