This is a partnership event run in conjunction with the Breck’s Landscape Project
Join Jon Tyler and David Atthowe for an extraordinary adventure through the light & dark side of the mushroom realm. Our exploration begins with fascinating fungi flora to be found around Brandon country park, learning more about the magical world of mushrooms. Investigate their various growth forms, discover their surprising aromas and sometimes strange habits. Then switch to darkness and re-walk the same route using powerful Ultraviolet torches to reveal the mushrooms hidden bio-fluorescence. Experience the kaleidoscope of colours that fungi and their fruiting bodies fluoresce, as we delve into a hidden world we cannot normally see.
Parking – £2.00 for up to 2 hours, and a maximum of £3.00 for the whole day.
Toilets available before the walk, they maybe shut after 5pm.
