Join the Broads Authority Rangers for a Boat and Boot trip on the River Waveney as part of the Walk Norfolk 2026 Festival

Come along for a memorable day of exploration, starting at the beautiful Beccles Quay. This unique experience combines a guided riverside walk with a serene boat trip along the River Waveney aboard the Ranger patrol launch.

Discover the stunning scenery and rich wildlife of the Waveney Valley as you make your way to Geldeston. Along the journey, our knowledgeable guides will share fascinating insights into the area’s history, ecology, and the diverse species that thrive in this beautiful natural environment.

At midday, we’ll take a break for lunch at a scenic spot before swapping activities. Those who start with the walk will return by boat, and vice versa, offering everyone the chance to enjoy the river from two unique perspectives.
