Colour walks

What is a colour walk?
A colour walk is a walk where you pick a colour and try to spot that colour in as many things in the environment as possible. Colour walks help us be present and mindful of our environment and where we are walking.

Today’s Colour
You can pick any colour you like or multiple colours to look out for on your walk. So get your shoes on, head out for a walk and see what you can spot that contains your chosen colour.

What you Need
Somewhere to go for a walk. This could be outside, along your street, or even around your home. If you go outside, make sure it’s safe and you have permission.

Optional: A phone, a camera, some paper and some coloured pens, pencils or crayons.

What To Do
Take a picture, draw or write down all the things you see that contain today’s chosen colour.

Optional activities after your walk
After your walk, you could make a collage of the picture you took, make colourful drawings of some of the things you saw, draw a map of your walk and add drawings of some of your favourite things you saw.

There are over 27 walks currently available during the walknorfolk2022 event running throughout October. From countryside walks / poetry talks to beach cleans.
