Journey back to ancient times on an interactive walk around Kelling, exploring the rich legacy of earth works left behind from past cultures. Beginning with the formation of the Cromer ridge we will chart half a million years of Prehistory. Hear about the lost world of Doggerland, then discover a hidden Bronze age burial mound and stand in the remains of a Saxon iron quarry. Along the way we will examine pre-historic fire-craft, make stone-age string and re-create a the mysterious Sea-Henge Monument.
Please note – this is a full day of walking, participants will need a good level of fitness and be suitably equipped for being out all day with minimal facilities. Bring waterproofs, packed lunch and water.
Suitable for dogs on leads.
