Health & Safety Policy

Pathmakers puts the safety of its team members, volunteers and the public first. Pathmakers operates in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974. 

 

Responsibility for Health and Safety rests with Pathmakers trusteesVolunteers who have received induction as team members are required commit to reading and working to these policies. 

 

In particular, it is Pathmakers policy to: 


  • Risk Assess 
  • Maintain  
  • Equip 

Provide and maintain appropriate PPE, tools and other safety equipment. PAT test electrical equipment as appropriate.   

 

Train 

Provide such information, instruction/ training and supervision as is necessary to ensure the health and safety of its team members, volunteers and the public.  

 

Consult  

 

With all team members on matters affecting their health and safetyAny questions or concerns regarding Health and Safety at work should be brought to the attention of Pathmakers trustees.  

 

Work with experts 

 

Select contractors and partners carefully, either directly or through professional intermediaries – so that they shall have the necessary expertise, qualifications and references for the work they are engaged to do in a safe fashion.   

This policy will be reviewed annually, or more frequently as the result of any significant change in our activities.
